What does it look like to grow and build an idea with our team?

This is research with results —understanding your goals, community aspirations, the site, and regulations constraints—to develop a clear design strategy for something practical, meaningful, beautiful, and built to last.

This is a process- iterative and collaborative. We develop concepts through drawing, modeling, and dialog — refining ideas in close partnership with you until the design reflects both your vision and our expertise.

In other words, this crucial and fundamental stage is where we dig a little deeper—developing and testing early design concepts—exploring form and space through sketches and models, materials, and possibilities alongside a more detailed budget. This helps you understand how design choices shape cost, function, and opportunity, giving the project a clear direction before moving into more detailed design.

Where we partner with an Architect of Record, we bring the design leadership and assemble the right specialists around the project—including structural, code, acoustical, and other expertise as needed.

blinkLAB leads the full process—from early ideas and design through permitting, construction, and completion. We bring the design thinking, assemble the right team, and turn opportunities into well-designed, buildable projects.

We bring a contractor into the team early, integrating fabrication and construction expertise into the design process to test ideas, manage costs, and move efficiently toward a well-built project.

Our interior design approach works seamlessly with architecture to shape spaces that are culturally distinctive, healthy, inspiring, and designed to be loved and lived in.
